Several businesses and a club were damaged in an overnight fire Tuesday that consumed a strip mall in North Memphis.
Firefighters responded to the fire at around 2:50 a.m. in the 3900 block of Jackson Avenue and saw the fire was well involved from the one-story structure.
The fire was extinguished some 80 minutes later.
Firefighters said the structure did not have a working sprinkler system and the fire caused around $20,000 in damages.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. There were no reported injuries.
