Ferndale council approves free parking through March 11

FERNDALE, Mich. (WJBK) -
There's free parking in Ferndale, at least for now.
City Council members Monday decided to offer free parking through March 11 while officials work to improve the city's new pay station system.
Citizens complained about long lines at the pay stations that replaced the standard parking meters. Residents were also upset that they have to more to park in the city.
In addition to the free parking, council members approved the purchase of 12 new parking pay stations.
