2013 Detroit Kennel Club dog shows March 2 and 3

The 110th and 111th annual Detroit Kennel Club dog shows will take place at the Cobo Center  March 2-3.

The Detroit Kennel Club shows are one of only five benched shows in the US. A benched showed means all dogs have to be available for viewing during the show. Some of the breeds include English Springer Spaniel, Whippet, Australian Terrier, Chinese Shar-Pei, Australian Shepherd, Rottweiler, Yorkshire Terrier and Azawakh.

Detroit's 2013 dog shows will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 2 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 3. Included in the show are competitions, demonstrations, 'Meet the Breed' seminars and more. The 'Meet the Breed' seminars are Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. with varying breeds each hour.
