MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -
Shelby County Schools Board member Tomeka Hart will ask her fellow board members on Monday to delay the start of the unified school district by one year.
Though its' set to start in August, in an e-mail sent to fellow board members Hart is seeking a resolution to delay the start of the unified district until 2014.
Hart, who declined an on camera interview with FOX13 News, did say she will present the resolution during a county board of education work session that is scheduled for Feb. 18.
