International Paper will ask the EDGE Board in the coming week to approve a $57 million tax break.
The Fortune 500 company is seeking a 15-year tax abatement from the city of Memphis and Shelby County in exchange for keeping its headquarters in the Bluff City.
The company has threatened to move to Mississippi if it is not granted the tax breaks.
A vote by the EDGE Board is set for next week.
