COBBS CREEK -

Only FOX 29 was there Wednesday afternoon when a woman dressed in Muslim clothing and a little girl got out of an unmarked detective's car in the 6200 block of Larchwood.

The group went for a walk down the block and then stopped, trailed by the detectives.

"We need to find the people responsible before they're able to harm another child," said Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey as he updated the investigation for FOX 29.

Police sources confirm this was the 5-year-old girl kidnapped from Bryant Elementary School three weeks ago and her mother trying to help investigators find the location where she was held captive for 20 hours. She was later released and found in an Upper Darby park dressed only in a t-shirt.

"We've gotten a lot of leads,"Ramsey explained. "It's not as if the phone is not ringing, it is. It just hasn't taken us to where it needs to take us."

Detectives spent about half an hour in the neighborhood with the child and her mother, focused on Larchwood near Cobbs Creek Parkway. This latest development came as the reward in the case jumped to $105,000.

Muslim leaders said they hoped to flush the kidnappers out.

"It is clear we have a predator in our community, along with his accomplices," said Imam Farid Rasool.

"She's healing," said the child's grandfather, a local leader in the Muslim community. He told reporters the child was doing better, but continued to insist the kidnapping was random.

"A sex fiend, a maniac, a vampire, a demon that just preys on innocence," said Imam Asim Abdur-Rashid.

Ramsey says police have not discussed the sensitive details of the girl's captivity because they are trying to protect the child and crack this case.

"People always want details about everything, some things we give, some things we don't. This is one that we don't ," he said. "Just some small tip, some small clue is all we need."

Police tell FOX 29's Dave Schratwieser they have received over 200 tips in this case. They spoke with the young victim and her mother for several hours again Tuesday night.

Muslim leaders say if it takes a million dollars or a million prayers, an arrest will come.
