PENNDEL, Pa. -

Parishioners at a church in Penndel offered their prayers for 16-year-old Matt Cruz, the student critically injured in a weekend bus crash just outside of Boston.

Cruz was among 35 people who were injured when their bus slammed into an overpass Saturday.

The bus was carrying students from the Destined for a Dream Program after a trip to Harvard University. The Bristol based charity provides opportunities for underprivileged children.

Alanna Merrigan, who attended Monday night's vigil at Our Lady of Grace Parish, says she was sleeping on the bus when it crashed into the overpass.

Massachusetts State Police say the bus didn't belong on the road as the bridge clearance was only 10 feet high.

Trapped inside, Merrigan tells FOX 29 she tried to help people who were pinned down. She suffered a concussion and a sprained foot.

Police said Monday they have not decided if they will file charges against the bus driver, 66-year-old Samuel Jackson.

Forty-two teenagers and their chaperones were on the bus.

Police are still investigating the crash.

Our Lady of Grace Parish in Penndel is working to help the Cruz family with the medical bills associated with his hospitalization and injuries.

You can find out how you can help by calling the parish at: 215-757-7700.

It was a soupy start today. We can expect many clouds, some sun, lots of humidity, and a chance of pop up showers any time. At least it'll be warmer: High around 80-degrees today.

The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. Warm temps stick around, too. And we do mean stick...because it'll be humid, too.

By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain.  It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
