Memphis police tactical and organized crime unit officers were fired upon late Wednesday evening while serving a drug warrant at a house on Perkins near Summer, police spokeswoman Sgt. Karen Rudolph said.
The officers retreated and didn't fire any shots, but were successful in coaxing the three suspects out of the house after talking to them.
The three suspects were arrested once they exited the house, located in the 800 block of North Perkins.
Andrew Frans, 28, Alton Williams, 28, and Rebecca Williams, 55, were charged with Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture/ Deliver/ Sell to wit Marijuana, Possessing a Firearm During the Commission/ Attempt to Commit Dangerous Felony, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
TACT and OCU officers searched the house and seized 247.97 grams of marijuana, seven marijuana plants (weighing 7 pounds), three handguns, one rifle, and over 200 rounds of assorted ammunition.
The three suspects are being held each on $150,000 bonds. They made their first appearance in court and will be back in court Feb. 1.
