Obion County School District administrators were forced to cancel classes for a second time this school year after more than 500 students were out sick with the flu.
The west Tennessee school district, which has 3,200 students, has canceled school for the rest of the week and will resume on Monday, Jan. 28.

This isn't the first shutdown for the district. Obion County Schools closed for two days in December after a severe outbreak of the flu and strep throat.
Union City is 115 miles north of Memphis along the Kentucky border.
