Both Memphis, Tenn., and Southaven, Miss., are investigating a double shooting Monday evening that happened in Whitehaven and ended up with two victIms being treated at a Southaven hospital.
One of the victims, a female, is listed in critical condition. The other male victim was treated for non-critical wounds.
According to Memphis Police spokeswoman Sgt. Karen Rudolph, crews were dispatched to Millbranch and Elvis Presley Boulevard at around 7:20 p.m., after receiving reports that shots were fired while two cars, possibly Mustangs, were traveling southbound on Millbranch.
Some time later both victims were located at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven, Sgt. Rudolph said.
One of the cars, a red Ford Mustang, was located by Southaven police at a pharmacy on Millbranch and Stateline Road. A second car, a possible silver Ford Mustang, is being searched for.
