A weekend search has continued into Monday for missing Cross County, Ark., Sheriff's Office auxiliary deputy Nick Swink.
The sheriff's office received a call about an individual falling into the St. Francis Bay on Friday, Jan. 11, at around 10:30 p.m.
They later learned the individual was Auxiliary Deputy Swink.
After learning this, a search began at the waterways and banks on the east and west of the St. Francis Bay by the Arkansas State Police, St. Francis County Sheriff's Office, Cross County Sheriff's Office and Wynne Police Department, along with Arkansas Game and Fish, St. Francis County Search and Rescue, Newcastle Fire Department, Wynne Fire Department and Cross County Dive Team.
The Arkansas State Police helicopter was flown to Forrest City, Ark., to assist in search. Because of dense fog and low cloud cover at the time Sunday, it was unable to assist with search.
As of 4 p.m. on Saturday Swink was still not found. The departments will continue to search for Swink until he's located.
