Memphis music legends The Bar-Kays have been invited to perform during President Barack Obama's inauguration in Washington, D.C.
The Bar-Kays will play during the inaugural gala Sunday, Jan. 20, the evening before the presidential inauguration.
The group will perform a mix of soul classes as well as some of their latest R and B hits during their 75-minute set. They were invited to perform by Illinois State Sen. Mattie Hunter, who replaced President Obama in the Illinois Senate.
