Certain Kind Of Sugar May Lead To Overeating

Posted: Updated:

Doctors say fructose may be to blame for overeating, according to a study conducted by researchers at Yale University.

Fructose, which is used as a sweetener in many products, especially sodas, can trigger brain changes that may lead to overeating.

FOX 29's Dr. Mike Cirigliano says the study shouldn't lead people to believe they can cut fructose from their diets and magically become healthy.

Dr. Cirigliano says this particular sugar study was done with a small group and more research needs to be done with more subjects.
