
Antonio Barton scored 17 points and Joe Jackson added 13 points and five assists as Memphis defeated Oral Roberts 72-57 on Friday night.
Both Barton and Jackson connected on 5 of 8 shots from the field and hit a pair of 3-pointers each as Memphis (8-3) shot 52% (26 of 50) in the game.
D.J. Stephens had six points for Memphis, hitting all 3 of his shots, but also finished with a career-high 14 rebounds and four blocks, matching his career best in that statistic.
Damen Bell-Holter led Oral Roberts (5-7) with 18 points and a season-high 14 rebounds. Bell-Holter was the only player in double figures for the Golden Eagles, who lost their third straight.
Oral Roberts' leading scorer Warren Niles, who entered the game averaging 21.3 points a game, was limited to two points, missing 10 of 11 shots.
