Beale Street ushers out the old year and rings in the new with a plethora of opportunities for fun.
Sunday, Dec. 30, in conjunction with the 54th Annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl celebration, Beale Street Merchants will host the Liberty Bowl Parade and Pep Rally. At 3 p.m., bands, floats, celebrities and beauty queens from all across the nation will march on historic Beale where the Blues were born. It's great free fun for the whole family.

The "Bash on Beale" Pep Rally will be held in Handy Park (immediately following the parade, at approximately 5:00 p.m.) and will feature a Battle of the Bands between the Iowa State and Tulsa. Join fans from the competing teams for this exciting pep rally, also free and open to all ages.
On Monday, Dec. 31, whether it's the winners coming to celebrate their Bowl victory or the losers coming to drown their sorrows, tourists coming from all over the world or locals seeking New Year revelry, Beale Street's New Year's Eve celebration has something for everyone!
In addition to all the parties and celebrations in Beale Street clubs and venues, Hard Rock Cafe Memphis takes the party to the street for all to enjoy. And this year they are kicking it up a notch for their Fifth Annual Guitar Drop!
Music begins at 5 p.m. with 13 bands of myriad music genres all the way past the guitar drop at midnight.
