JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -
One of six inmates who were released by mistake from the Hinds County Detention Center last week remains at large.
Deputies were still searching Wednesday for Germarkes Smith, who was facing an aggravated assault charge when he was let go, along with five others who have since been captured or who have turned themselves in.
Detention Center authorities say the six suspects, including two charged with murder, were let go by mistake after a jailer did not correctly read a court order.
