PHILADELPHIA -

A man is clinging to life after he was shot multiple times in Philadelphia's Nicetown section.

It happened just before 10 p.m. on Wingohocking Street.

Police say at least 40 rounds were fired from an assault rifle, likely an AK-47.

A few other rounds were also found, they believe those shots were fired from a nine millimeter handgun.

Police are still investigating the shooting, but they said the block is known for drug activity.
