Police sources tell us a 16-year-old boy was shot in the chest Friday night in Philadelphia's Frankford section.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. near the 5200 block of Marlowe Street, right off Pratt Street.
The teen was rushed to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. His condition was not immediately released.
Police also say two stray bullets went into a nearby home.
Right now, there's no word on whether the teen was the intended target or he was hit by a stray bullet.
We'll stay on top of this story and bring you updates as we get them.
Rain arrives for the second half of the work week. Another fall-like blast of cool weather to follow for the weekend.
Scattered showers are possible tonight as a cold front approaches the area. Otherwise, the best chance for rain will be Thursday afternoon and night where we'll see on and off showers and thunderstorms.
Clouds and showers linger though much of Friday. We may still see a passing shower Saturday. Unseasonably cool air returns this weekend where both days only see high temps in the mid 70s with many of us falling into the 50s at night.
