PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia Police say they have tracked down a possible suspect in a Thursday night shooting that left a 42-year-old man in critical condition.

The shooting happened around 6 p.m. on the 700 block of Markoe Street.

Police tell FOX 29 the victim was approached by another man.

The victim was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Police say they tracked down a suspect after he was spotted in a car. When police approached him, the man attempted to hide in a bush in the area of 38th and Wallace, police said.

Investigators at this point don't believe the shooting was a robbery because the two victims knew each other.
