Pat Meehan, Rob Andrews and Frank Lobiando held a press conference in Clarkbsoro on Thursday morning to discuss the current situation surrounding the Paulsboro train derailment cleanup.
Each representative took some time to hammer home the point that safety is of the utmost concern - for the workers and the public. Officials are constantly monitoring the quality of the air and water.
They are looking forward to reviewing the reports that will be put out by the NTSB once that investigation is complete. Protocols will be reviewed and scrutinized.
The number one question at this point is why the conductor bypassed the red signal.
Last evening, hundreds of frustrated Paulsboro residents attended a meeting put together by emergency officials. The meeting began with a brief update to tell residents that they are constantly monitoring the air and water in Mantua Creek.
Resident will be allowed back into their home as long as there are zero readings for chemicals in the air for a 24-hour period.
New Jersey Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno is set to tour the scene of the accident later on this afternoon.
