University of Delaware Student Robbed, Beaten Unconscious

Newark Police are investigating the robbery of a 28-year-old University of Delaware student that occurred around 5:00 a.m. Saturday. 

The female victim was approached by two unknown males while walking along North College Avenue, just north of the CSX rail crossing.  She was knocked briefly unconscious and suffered from severe trauma to her face, including a broken orbital lobe and nose.

The suspects got away with the victims purse and fled eastbound across North College Avenue.

Police are searching for two white males, described as 19 to 22 years of age.  Suspect 1 is believed to be 5'8" to 5'10" and between 160-180 pounds.  Suspect 2 is likely 5'9" to 5'11", weighing 170-180 pounds.
