Elderly Couple Taken To Hospital After Olney Home Invasion

PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia Police are investigating a home invasion in the city's Olney section where the victims were two elderly people.

Police say it happened at a home on the 5900 block of Fourth Street just before 2 p.m. Thursday.

The victims suffered cuts to their heads and were taken to the hospital.

According to police, the thief broke into the couple's home and hit them with a tape dispenser when they fought back.

The man demanded money and asked for car keys, police say. When he couldn't start the car, police say he took off.
