NORTH MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -
Memphis police continue to investigating what they believe is a murder-suicide between a married couple in a North Memphis mobile home park early Friday morning.
Officers say they found the body of a male in his 40s and a female in her mid-20s lying on the front porch in the Green Acres Mobile Home Park, located at 2670 Wayne Place, just before 3 a.m.
Both bodies had gunshot wounds. Firefighters who responded pronounced the couple deceased.
Over the weekend the couple were positively identified as Jose Jimenez, 40, and Monica Cabrera, 31.
According to police, after a preliminary investigation, both victims had returned from an evening out and an argument ensued. Witnesses told police they heard the couple arguing on the front porch of their mobile home. Shortly after neighbors heard gunshots.
The case remains under investigation.
