A death investigation by Memphis police and the Shelby County Medical Examiner revealed that there was no foul play after the body of an unidentified man was found laying face-down on I-55 underneath a bridge.
Motorists spotted the body near the Tennessee-Mississippi state line during Wednesday morning's rush.
The victim was identified as 56-year-old Randy Lambert.
Memphis police officers were dispatched to investigate just before 7:30 a.m., after motorists spotted Mr. Lambert before 7 a.m.
The officers found Mr. Lambert unresponsive and pronounced him dead.
