LAKELAND, Tenn. (FOX13) -
A 48-year-old Lakeland man died Sunday morning after a fire consumed his mobile park home.
The fire was reported at around 1 a.m. at the Canada Trace Mobile Home Park, 3237 Shoehorn.
Shelby County firefighters conducted an initial search for the trapped homeowner.
They able to get the fire under control minutes after it started.
The victim was identified as Mark Welch. An autopsy will be performed on Mr. Welch by the county medical examiner to determine the exact cause of death.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
This is the second fatal fire county firefighters responded to in 2012, the fire department said.
