ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WJBK) -- Downtown Royal Oak will play host to the 11th Annual Holiday Magic Parade on Sunday, November 18 at 2 p.m.
FOX 2's own Jay Towers will serve as the parade's Grand Marshal.
The parade route starts at Lincoln and Washington and heads north on Washington to Fourth Street where it heads west and ends at Lafayette.
This parade will once again kick off the holiday season by showcasing over 80 parade units including marching bands, floats from the Parade Company, circus performers, dance troupes and more. New parade units this year include the Detroit Derby Girls and music from Neon Crush and the Motor City Melodies.
This year, new, unwrapped toys will be collected along the parade route and will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Oakland County's Holiday Basket Program.
Before the parade, stay warm by running through the parade route at Santa Scamper, a Fun Run at 1:30 p.m. For more information, visit www.santascamper.org.
After the parade, there will be visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Emagine Theater from 3-5 p.m.
