FLAT ROCK, Mich. (WJBK) -- People call her at all hours, leaving their personal information and begging for help. But she can't help them. And she's getting fed up.
Krystal Klenczar tells FOX 2 she receives up to 100 calls a day from Michigan residents mistakenly seeking help from the state. The 25-year-old Flat Rock woman says the calls began about a year ago when she changed her mobile number. Since then, people have called thinking they're dialing a number for the Department of Human Services. Callers go so far as to leave their home addresses and even social security numbers on her voicemail.
She says she's reached out to DHS officials to get answers, but has come up empty.
"It's probably annoying for (the callers) as well," says Klenczar. "Continuously calling a number and not getting any answers."
Klenczar says she likes her phone number and doesn't plan on changing it. She's hoping a member of the DHS human resources department can help track down where callers are finding her number and eventually fix the issue.
