Suspect Forces Friendly's Employees Into Supply Closet During Robbery

PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia Police are searching for a man who was captured on surveillance cameras walking into a Friendly's restaurant armed with gun and then forcing the employees into a supply closet.

According to police, a man walked into the Friendly's on the 9100 block of Ridge Avenue Saturday morning around 6:15 a.m.

Police say the man entered the business behind a restaurant employee.

Armed with a gun, police say the man forced the employees into a supply closet and then took an undetermined amount of cash and left the restaurant.

Police say he drove off possibly in an older dark green minivan.
