Families are welcoming their heroes home to Memphis after days in the disaster zone.
The 80 men and women of Tennessee's task force one came home
Wednesday night after 10 days on the road.
The Urban search and rescue team went door to door in one of New
York's hardest hit regions.
The squad's leaders say they made a big difference, checking on more than 3 thousand homes and apartments, they collected more than 20 thousand pieces of information that helped FEMA and local authorities help the storm survivors.
With another mission behind them the first responders of task force one will head back to their jobs here in the mid-south.
But first they'll be spending some time with their families….they're glad to be home.
