(WJBK) -- The polls are open as millions of Americans cast their ballots to determine the presidential race as well as hundreds of state and local races.
In Detroit, hundreds lined up at Henry Ford High School before 7 a.m. to be among the first in the city to cast their ballots.
In New Hampshire, residents in Dixville Notch cast the first ballots in the president election just after midnight.
In Massachusetts, presidential hopeful Mitt Romney and his wife voted shortly after 8 a.m.
