Lambertville, NJ -

It is dark in Lambertville New Jersey.  Really dark.

In fact, one resident described it as arriving into a black abyss when driving over the bridge from the partially lit New Hope PA, into Lambertville where power has been down nearly a week, following Superstorm Sandy.

"It's kind of like an adventure at first but now it's like…really? Another day?" said resident Janice Love.

She sat in front of her laptop watching movies Sunday night, with a few candles providing the only light.

Many residents have been feeling left out of restoration work taking place across the Jersey Central Power & Light system.

"New Hope's got power," said resident Judy Marchand.

"My parents and my sister in North Jersey got their power back.  I heard even Tom's River has power.  They're on the shore so it's like, what's going on?" she said.

Many including Mayor Dave Del Vecchio are also questioning the utility's method of estimating the restoration time, after some said they were told at least 30 percent of the city would be back online by now.

"I've been in office 21 years and if my performance were like that, I wouldn't be in office," Del Vecchio said.

Officials with JCP & L said Sandy left behind the most devastating damage of any storm including Hurricane Irene last year.

They say 90 percent of their circuits are offline.  About 7,000 people are working on the network, with the hope of getting power turned on by Wednesday.
