AMBER ALERT: CANCELED! Missing 5 year old in MO found safe

The Amber Alert for a missing 5-year old in Missouri has been canceled. The FBI in St. Louis tells FOX13's Matt Gerien the girl was found safe and a suspect is in custody. Authorities say Abigail Berthoff and 45 year old Jeffrey D. Shelton were found in Butler County, MO. There is no word on charges in the case.


FOX4 in Kansas City is reporting that an Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 5 year old girl. 

Abigail Berthoff is described as a bi-racial girl with black hair and brown eyes.

She is suspected to be with Jeffrey D. Shelton, a registered sex offender.  He is believed to be driving a silver 2001 Nissan Pathfinder with Missouri license PJ8Z5M.

It is believed she was taken between 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night and 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning per authorities.
