Missing Memphis mother's SUV found

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Four days, and still no word.

Family and friends of Karen Denise Boyd-Thomas, a 31-year-old Memphis mother of two, are frantically trying to find her after the mother's 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV was found Monday morning on Sumner Avenue at the Garden Ridge parking lot.

Boyd-Thomas was last seen Thursday night, Oct. 11, by her husband, Terrance. He told police Thomas left their home in the 2700 block of Welchlawn Cove wearing blue jeans, a dark top, a heart pendant and black watch.

"She has two small children that really want their mom back with her," said one friend. "Her husband wants her back, which is my brother Terrance. He's devastated right now."

Terrance told police that his wife didn't show up for work and soon after family and friends started to worry.

"I know she would not leave her kids not knowing where she is so it's got to be something wrong," said another family friend.

They searched all weekend for her, to no avail, and have continued their search Monday and Tuesday.

"I know she would not leave her kids not knowing where she is so it's got to be something wrong," said another family friend.

Thomas is employed as an accountant for Doubletree Suites in Downtown Memphis

"We have tried to put flyers out, we have tried going to places that she is known to be at," Shockley said. "Any leads right now would be great right now because right now we are very devastated. We can't sleep, can't eat, we just don't know what to think right now."

Police are asking anyone with information on Thomas' whereabouts to call the police's Missing Persons Division at 901-636-4479.
