David Oku ran for three touchdowns and Arkansas State beat Florida International 34-20 on Thursday night.
Ryan Aplin threw for 223 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score for the Red Wolves (3-3. 1-1 Sun Belt), who bounced back from a loss to Western Kentucky last week. J.D. McKissic caught a 74-yard touchdown pass from Aplin early in the second quarter.
E.J. Hilliard completed 18 of 27 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown for Florida International (1-5, 0-2). Jacob Younger's 19-yard scoring catch late in the second quarter put FIU up 10-7, but Arkansas State took control with a touchdown in the final minute of the first half and two more in the third quarter for a 27-10 lead with 6:11 left in the period.
