Victoria Holmes is 15 years old and just won this year's Mid-south Fair's Youth Talent Contest. This is Victoria's second time to compete in the contest. She is from Brandon, MS and travels 3 hours to train with vocal coach, Austin Carroll.
Carroll is a singer/ songwriter who is no stranger to the Youth Talent Contest! He won the 1st Sweepstakes title several years ago. After that Austin went on to become a finalist on the reality show, The One: Making a Music Star" and wrote the song "Better Off Alone" on Katherine McPhee's self-titled album.
The Mid-South Fair Youth Talent Contest is for youth ages 13-21. This contest happens every year and is known as one of the largest amateur talent contests in the world. Young entertainers come from an eight state region in hopes to claim the title of Grand Award Winner and that's exactly what Victoria Holmes did. Victoria was judged by casting directors from 'America's Got Talent' and CBS. Victoria won a trophy, $2,000 and an all-expense paid trip to audition with casting agents in New York or L.A.
