DETROIT (WJBK) -

20-year-old Treven Dumas is now charged with first-degree murder. It's alleged he fatally stabbed security guard Lou Ferrin as he was ejecting Dumas from Club Pandemonium.

Dumas' mother was in court as her son was denied bond.

"I just want to say I'm sorry to the family. He wasn't raised that way, and I just hope that they heal," said Kimberly Williams. "I apologize, and my son is very apologetic, as well."

Meanwhile, shots were fired inside Club Pandemonium Thursday night, which continues to live up to its name. Rival gangs clashed inside just days after the fatal stabbing of Ferrin and just three months after the fatal shooting of security guard Marcel Jackson, a father of six and volunteer with the Detroit 300.

"How many more deaths have to happen until this place gets shut down. What's the city doing about it?" said Pedro Sison.

That's what so many people want to know, especially the family of Ferrin. The father of three was killed early Sunday morning. His funeral is Saturday.

"Now you got to start thinking of the community, the safety. It's time to close that club down. I mean, enough is enough before somebody else gets hurt," said Mark Ferrin, the victim's brother.

Late Friday afternoon, the owners at Pandemonium had the signs removed. Police are asking people to stay away while investigators look at options to shut the place down. Many are hoping for a padlock and not just a name change.
