Lawler will serve as a ringside commentator at a wrestling match at the Landers Center Arena where the fair is located.
He had been scheduled to wrestle in the event, but will sit this one out as he continues to recover.
Three weeks ago, Lawler suffered heart attack and collapsed during a live WWE broadcast in Canada.
