DPS opens one-stop support shop for parents of students with special needs

As part of a nationwide pilot program, DPS opened what they call a "one-stop support shop," a resource center for parents of special needs students.

FOX 2's Al Allen reports that the goal of the resource center is to get parents involved in the activities and academics of the students.  If this program is successful, similar resource centers could be instituted nationwide.

The new support shop, housed in the Drew Transition Center, is one of eight resource centers available to DPS parents.
