Reuniting lost and found pets with their families with education, sharing information and networking.
Teresa Martin started this Facebook page. Lisa says, "I work very hard so these lost babies never see the inside of a cage of any shelter in the Midsouth area. I never would have thought in a million years that 1 person could do so much. God has given me a very special gift." The Memphis and Shelby County Humane Society shot down their lost and found page and now direct people to Teresa's Lost and Found Pets of the MidSouth Facebook page. She has an agreement with the Memphis Animal Shelter to research/trace any expired tags for identification for any pet they intake so she can help return these pets to their owners. If for some reason they can not be found she finds homes to foster these pets. With a success rate of 90%, it is no wonder people go to Lost and Found Pets of the MidSouth to post in hopes of finding their furry friends.
"My newest project, Rescue Me! Memphis is dedicated to the forgotten who have taken residence within the cracks of our communities. These animals have become almost invisible to us. Living, suffering and dying in front of our very eyes. This page was created to identify these misplaced pets and bring them to safety."
