MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Kody Walsh, a 22-year-old wanted in the Sept. 9 homicide in northern Illinois, waived his extra diction hearing Tuesday in Shelby County General Sessions Court.

Walsh was arrested Sunday in Memphis after leading law enforcement on a wild three-county chase on I-40 at speeds of more than 100 mph.

West Tennessee police had tried to stop Walsh for a license plate violation Sunday afternoon. He tried to shake off police, even rolling over tire spikes strips and drove on rims of his stolen car at speeds around 90 mph into Memphis.

Walsh, who was charged with aggravated assault, fleeing from police, theft of property, felony possession of a firearm, and destruction of property stemming from Sunday's chase from Southwest Tennessee police, will be extradited to Winnebago County, Ill., to face a first degree murder charge.

Walsh is wanted for shooting and killing Lori Daniels in Beloit, Ill.
