DETROIT (MyFox Detroit) -- Down at Eastern Market there was a very cool event happening Friday night. It was the grand opening of the Red Bull House of Art.
Matt Eaton is the curator. We asked him what exactly is the Red Bull House of Art?
"It's an incubator for local artists. We provide them with a budget to buy supplies, everything that you couldn't get as a starving artist, and give them a timeframe to work within, and the goal is basically an exhibition after about three months," he explained. "They keep all of the proceeds from all of the sales. It's great."
Watch the video report to see some of the art currently on display, including work from one artist who paints with makeup.
The House of Art is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
