ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WJBK) -

Roger Bowling, 39, accused of murdering and dismembering the bodies of an Allen Park couple, is in court today for a preliminary exam.

Fishermen found the bodies of Chris Hall, 42, and Danielle Greenway, 32, in the Detroit river the morning of July 17. Police suspect Bowling shot and dismembered the bodies inside their home the previous night.

Bowling had recently been a house guest of the couple and is now facing two counts of first-degree murder and mutilation of a body.

The exam was scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., but FOX 2's Amy Andrews reports Bowling was late arriving from the Wayne County jail. A long list of witnesses are expected to testify throughout the day.

We'll bring you the latest on this story tonight during FOX 2 News beginning at 5 p.m.
