Andrea Brennan, 37
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -
A 37-year-old teacher in the Van Buren Township School District stood silent as she was arraigned on charges of distributing sexually explicit material to a minor.
Andrea Deanna Brennan of Ypsilanti appeared in a Wayne County court Tuesday morning. The court entered a not guilty plea for her. She also faces charges of using a computer to commit a crime and providing a minor with alcohol.
The prosecutor's office says officers allegedly found Brennan with a 15-year-old male in a parked car near Beck and Ayres in Van Buren Township around 1:30 a.m. on July 10.
Brennan is accused of giving that teen alcohol and using a computer to send him sexually explicit material.
We're told he has never been one of Brennan's students.
Distributing sexually explicit material to a minor is a two year felony. Use of a computer to commit a crime is a four year felony, and furnishing alcohol to a minor is a 60 day misdemeanor.
Brennan was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond and told she could not have any contact with her alleged victim.
She is expected back in court for a preliminary exam on August 6.
