This summer vs. other summers

Posted: Updated:
(WJBK) -

It's been a hot summer so far, but is this summer really any hotter than other summers?

In May, we had 2 days over 90 degrees. In June, we had 9 days over 90. And in July, so far, we have had another 9 days over 90 - and we still have 2 weeks left to go!

That means we have had 20 days over 90 so far this year. That's well above the average. In fact, it's almost double.

This MIGHT make you feel better. Back in 1988, there were 39 days over 90 degrees, so it could always be worse.
