William Todd Brewer, with his head down, made the walk into Tate County Justice Court Tuesday. Not in the tan uniform of a scout director, but in jailhouse orange with his hands and feet shackled.
Senatobia police received information last Thursday and determined there was enough info in the allegations to obtain a search warrant. During that search they found enough evidence to charge him with possession of child pornography.
Brewer was the district director of the Boy Scouts for North Mississippi until he was arrested last week.
Right now he is charged with one count of possession of child pornography and three counts of sexual battery on a child.
As Brewer was brought into court, outside waited Jacquoia Fowler, a mother of some of the alleged victims.
"This is just the beginning of this. It is going to go on for a while. We have two victims in our household. How many others of them are out there. We will have to wait for the forensics on the computers. We fully expect more charges to come," Fowler said.
Brewer is being held without bond in the Tate County Jail. He did not speak or make a plea in court on the advice of his attorney. He could face a maximum of two life sentences plus 70 years if convicted.
Jacquoia Fowler had this message to deliver to Brewer, "Rot in Hell you sorry son of a (expletive)."
