DETROIT (WJBK) -

The first 911 call started with two vacant homes burning.  Then a vacant commercial building burns just two blocks over.  Most recently the building on Frederick at Chene on the city's east side served as a church.  Attached next door to the church is currently an operating nightclub. The club was locked and had not opened yet for the evening.

Detroit Fire sources tell us all three fires are suspicious. While not ruling arson right now, it is clearly a possibility. Neighbors are convinced these buildings were torched.

"Somebody is setting these fires, and it's not fair.  It's not right.  The city [needs] to do something," one woman told us.

No fire or smoke damage got to the nightclub, which was scheduled to reopen later on Wednesday evening.
