Provide weather forecasts for air and web as assigned. Report live in studio and on location. Conduct interviews and interact with the public. A minimum of three years' experience working as a weather anchor in a small or medium market. Must be able to work effectively on various media platforms. Must be able to report live. Must possess strong on air abilities, be creative and ad-lib effectively. Excellent people and communication skills; must be a team player. Expert knowledge of weather and newsroom computers. AMS Seal required or at the least be eligible for testing. WSI, Weather Central/Barons background helpful. Hurricane forecasting experience a plus.
Provide daily traffic reports for top rated morning
newscast. Should be computer proficient and be able to learn and operate sophisticated
traffic equipment. Must be able to report
live. Must possess strong on air abilities, be creative and ad-lib effectively.

News Cast Director
Candidate will utilize Grass Valley Kalypso switcher to direct live newscasts, newsbreaks, programs and specials. Prepare show rundowns in I-News to coordinate all shots and cues. Lead camera crews, audio operator, and floor direct as needed. Candidate must have a minimum of two years' experience directing and/or technical directing on-air for live news programming required. Experience with a Grass Valley Kalypso switcher is required. Ability to operate a broad range of production equipment, including character generators, audio consoles and master control equipment is desired. Lighting design experience is also a plus. Must be a leader who is pro-active, creative, takes initiative, reacts quickly, projects a positive attitude, and keeps their composure during stressful situations. College degree preferred.
Manage the performance of the producers and associate producers of the 6 hr. morning show, oversee and enterprise team coverage and special events, prevent on-air mistakes, enhance newscasts through an innovative use of graphics, work with reporters to make their stories better, work with the desk to improve quality and quantity of coverage, take a lead role in breaking news and have a firm grip on local news. Degree in Journalism or related field and 3 years broadcast television as a Sr. Producer or EP. Major market and/or management experiences preferred. Web experience a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
Special Projects Producer/Photographer
Write, arrange, shoot, and coordinate live and
taped elements into compelling special segments and investigative packages.
Communicate well with field crews, assignment desk, directors, newsroom
management. Exercise sound news judgment. Bachelor's degree in Journalism or
related field and 2 years paid newsroom experience as photographer or producer.

The Promotion Manager is responsible for assisting the Creative Services Director in creating and sustaining a powerful brand position that maximizes audience growth and engagement for FOX13 WHBQ and MYFOXMemphis.com. The manager is responsible for a wide variety of on-air and off-air marketing initiatives. Must be able to translate strategic promotion concepts into engaging on-air campaigns that will grab the viewers' attention; Conceptualizes, write, produce, and edit news image campaigns. Must have an exceptional eye to quality. The individual is required to work with the promotion producers to ensure the daily topicals, pre-shows and newsbreaks are up to the highest standards. This includes regular attendance and participation in daily editorial meetings; Assist the Creative Services Director with the traffic logs and serve as a backup when the Creative Services Director is out; Share responsibility for community related promotional events outside the station; Demonstrates responsibility for any and all equipment issued by WHBQ FOX13. Must comply with all FTS and station policies including computer requirements. Must have strong writing skills; proficient in FCP; knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite is preferred; willingness to work overtime, on weekends with short notice. Have the ability to perform under tight deadlines in a "quick turnaround" environment. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred. Minimum of 2 – 4 year's equivalent experience.
Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Assist in month end close. Prepare journal entries and maintain monthly file. Reconcile all general ledger accounts and prepare/update General Ledger Account Analysis. Manage and update all Prepaid and Accrual Sub-Ledger Accounts. Manage fixed asset system and monthly depreciation. Manage program/film asset and liabilities and monthly amortization. Manage and prepare monthly account executive commission reports. Manage and prepare monthly Rep commission reports. Perform and maintain analysis on all trade agreements. Manage and prepare monthly No Charge Spot reporting. Assist Director of Finance in preparing other financial and operational analysis, as needed. Assist in the Preparation of the Fiscal Budget Manage, distribute and log purchase orders. Reconcile the station's program logs, verifying the airing of commercials run on the station. Manage prizes for Station contests. Four year degree required with emphasis in accounting/finance. At minimum of 4 years' experience in the broadcast industry preferred. Must be proficient with Excel spreadsheets; Familiar with Wide Orbit Traffic and JDE Accounting systems a plus.
Human Resources Director
Responsibilities include recruitment and applicant tracking, maintenance of employee files, and ensuring company policies are upheld. Advises department heads as necessary with respect to employment law and policy in regard to appropriate processes and procedures. Requires processing necessary paperwork for salary changes, promotions, hires, terms, and leaves. Requires preparation of various monthly and annual reports including Federal EEO & FCC reporting. Participates in annual budgeting process. Assists in resolving employee conflicts as needed. Degree in Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 3 years Human Resources management experience. Broadcast experience a plus. Must have a generalist experience with a solid working knowledge of employment laws, both Federal and State. Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must have excellent time management organizational skills and be proven self-starter.
