Joe Ford Pays Debt to Jewelry Store

Former Shelby County Interim Mayor Joe Ford has paid the debt he owed to Las Savell Jewelry over two Rolex watches he was accused of stealing.

Ford called the theft charges a misunderstanding.

He bought a pair of watches in December of 2010 that totaled around $5,800. When Las Savell tried to cash the check, it bounced.

Ford is still scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
