Search Continues for Mother of Four

"We haven't ruled out the possibility of foul play."

Just north of Dyersburg in Dyer County, Sheriff Jeff Box is working a case that is personal.

Box says, "It's been a very intense investigation."

Two weeks have now gone by and still no sign of missing mother of four Karen Swift.

Her SUV was found steps away from her own front door with a flat tire.

Box says, "We've combed these areas here where her vehicle was located. We've combed around her house."

In the passing time Sheriff Box and his investigators are chasing down leads and searching for clues. Volunteers with horses will cover the rough terrain over the weekend searching for any sign of the missing woman.

"The TBI crime lab came in and went over her residence just to be sure that there was nothing there that may lead us to her whereabouts."

Sheriff Box has released a picture of Swift's SUV as it sat on the side of the road asking people to jog their minds, pleading for people who were in the area to come forward with anything they thought was out of the ordinary.

Through the investigation Sheriff Box says clues have been found and evidence has been collected.

Though keeping a tight lip on what exactly has been discovered Box says it's being processed right now for any clues that can lead them to Swift.

"We have found multiple items of evidence in this investigation or potential evidence in this case."

If you have any information about Swift's whereabouts, call the Desoto County Sheriff's Office at 731-285-2802.
