Southaven Mayor Greg Davis will preside over Tuesday's Board of Aldermen meeting for the first time since taking a leave of absence.
Mayor Davis was away getting medical treatment for an unknown reason.
Southaven City Hall is preparing for a big crowd at the meeting. It marks Davis' first public appearance since his leave of absence in a medical treatment facility.
Since that time, aldermen and citizens have called for his resignation as Mayor of Southaven.
Davis has been ordered by the State Auditor's Office to repay the city about $170,000 in improper spending. The auditor says Davis spent tax money on things like vacations, parties, liquor, and lavish dinners. Davis has paid back about $96,000 so far.
He is also the subject of an FBI criminal investigation. No charges have been filed at this point.
Davis has said that he will not step down.
